LA JOLLA MEALS ON WHEELS
Daily Meals for Seniors, Disabled & Homebound

Greater La Jolla Meals On Wheels - Serving the La Jolla community's homebound since 1974La Jolla Meals On Wheels (also: Greater La Jolla Meals On Wheels) has served La Jolla since 1974. We are a La Jolla based senior services organization providing daily meals to La Jolla senior, disabled and homebound individuals. (We serve the 92037 and some parts of 92122 zip code zones)

Senior hunger is a national problem of dramatic proportion. Our community service program relies on volunteer participation and donations. You can help by making a donation to La Jolla Meals On Wheels (securely via PayPal).

Meals On Wheels relieves the burden of shopping and meal preparation for our seniors, homebound, disabled, or otherwise mobility-challenged members of the community. As our “village” ages, the help provided by the caring, friendly volunteer force which makes up the core of La Jolla Meals On Wheels takes on an increasingly important role.

Meals on wheels service makes a huge difference in people’s lives by helping them maintain independence and dignity. Home meal service can help people steer clear of the major life changes involved with moving into an assisted living facility.

Tasty and nutritious meals are planned and prepared by the dietitian and staff at La Jolla Scripps Memorial Hospital. Our Meals On Wheels program delivers 2 meals (general, diabetic, low-sodium or bland) per day (1 hot and 1 cold) plus milk, Monday through Friday.

The fees we charge don’t cover the expense of providing our service, so we welcome your support via contributions and volunteering. You can make a secure donation to PayPal from our site.
